Last year our Bronco Arts Outreach program reached over 5,000 students! We are grateful to continue this program by offering free live performance and workshop opportunities for our MPS students.
We plan to reach over 7,000 this year holding performances for K-5th grade!

2025-2026 Performances

Arts Education Internship Program

The Arts Education Internship Program offers academically able students a unique opportunity to explore careers in arts education through engaging, hands-on experiences. This immersive program is thoughtfully divided into two enriching components:
First, interns participate in interactive seminars focused on the foundations and fundamentals of teaching and learning in the arts. Through collaborative discussion and guided reflection, students gain essential insights into educational theory and practice.
Second, interns are placed in elementary, intermediate, or middle school classrooms, where they work alongside certified teachers. In these real-world settings, interns actively assist by tutoring, mentoring, and supporting younger students in their artistic and academic growth.
This program is ideal for students passionate about the arts who are eager to inspire others and develop professional skills for future careers in arts education.

MPS Sensory Friendly Concerts

A sensory friendly concert is a live music event thoughtfully adapted to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for audience members with sensory processing needs, including students with disabilities. These concerts are designed to reduce overwhelming sensory input and include accommodations to help everyone enjoy the experience.
Key features of a sensory friendly concert typically include:

-Shorter concert duration, often limited to around 30 minutes.
-Visual supports such as pictogram programs and pre-concert packets that outline what to expect.
-Flexible seating or space for movement during the event.
-Availability of ear plugs for those sensitive to sound.
-Use of visual and tactile aids—like balloons to feel musical vibrations—and ASL interpreters for accessibility.
-Access to quiet rooms for those who may need a break from the performance.
-Additional individualized accommodations as needed to support student comfort and participation.

These adaptations ensure the concert experience is inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
